A free Ookla speed test
server in Izmir, Türkiye
This address is not a test interface — it is a measurement server registered on the Ookla network. The test runs from a Speedtest client, with Alastyr selected as the server. You can measure up to 10 Gbps over both IPv4 and IPv6.
How to use this server
two waysFrom a browser
- Open speedtest.net.

- Press Go.
If you are connecting from Türkiye, Speedtest usually picks this server on its own.
From the command line
With Ookla’s official Speedtest CLI you can test directly against this server. Our server ID is 47198:
speedtest --server-id=47198
To measure over IPv4 only or IPv6 only:
speedtest -4 --server-id=47198 speedtest -6 --server-id=47198
Why a local test server?
latencyFor a speed test to mean anything, it has to run against a nearby server. A test against a server abroad measures the international link between you, not your own connection.
Real latency
Measuring from Izmir gives a ping that actually reflects your access network; no transatlantic delay is added.
IPv6 measurement
The server is dual stack. You can check separately whether your IPv6 connectivity really works, and how fast it is.
